Position Overview:
The Recruiting Manager will be responsible for delivering strategic and tactical recruiting support to the entire Firm. This person will be the main point of contact regarding all recruiting processes and programs and work with career development manager, partners and managing partner to plan and execute the hiring strategy.  The scope of this role encompasses all Firm offices, San Francisco, San Jose, Walnut Creek and Palo Alto.  This position is based in San Francisco and reports to the Managing Partner. 

 

Responsibilities
  • Maintain overall responsibility for the Firm’s staffing program (campus and experienced hires).
  • Collaborate with partners to understand the skills and background required for each position.
  • Work with the managing partner and department heads to develop realistic goals and an overall recruiting plan.
  • Partner with Career Development Manager to ensure recruitment solutions and strategies are consistent with the Firm’s overall human resources strategy.
  • Determine effectiveness of campus and experienced hire recruitment processes and programs and make changes as needed.
  • Ensure Firm's critical positions are prioritized and resources are allocated to source candidates and fill open requisitions in a timely manner.
  • Function as a full-cycle recruiter for all experienced hire requisitions. This involves sourcing, screening, interviewing, closing candidates and other recruiting related activities.
  • Identify and utilize multiple and cost effective recruitment sources (internal posting system/employee referral rewards program, campus recruitment, job fairs, internet and other networking opportunities).
  • Directly supervise a staff of three (two campus recruiters and one recruiting coordinator).
  • Manage relationships and negotiate cost effective contracts with outside recruiters, job boards, etc.
  • Provide guidance and support to campus recruiters regarding campus recruiting program.
  • Coordinate determination of salary offers and related offer letter financial matters. Follow firm compensation guidelines, while maintaining external competitiveness with internal equity and affordability.
  • Provide partners with recruiting activity reports on at least a weekly basis and maintain frequent communication with partners regarding the status of candidates and open requisitions.
  • Frequent travel to/from bay area offices (San Francisco, Walnut Creek, Palo Alto, San Jose).

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years recruiting experience, public accounting environment preferred
  • 4-year degree in human resources, business or related field
  • Ability to build strong relationships with all levels of employees, especially partners
  • Strong PC skills, including MS Office, Internet/job boards, and applicant tracking systems
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Understanding of employment law and HR policies and practices
  • Ability to influence change, conduct successful salary negotiations
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

This is a contract position through December 31, 2007 with the potential for converting to a full-time position beginning in January 2008. Timing of contract to perm is negotiable.
