Accounting and Consulting Department

Through a proactive approach, we seek to minimize the tax burden and maximize the available tax benefits for individuals and businesses.

The tax department of BPM incorporates technical expertise and sound business judgment when applying our services in all areas. We specialize in business organization and restructuring, investment, compensation, retirement planning, employee benefits, estate and wealth transfer planning, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, nonprofit entities and business valuations. Additionally, we handle multi-state and international tax issues as well as IRS and State audits.

• Provide tax compliance and consulting to a diverse base of corporate and individual clients.
• Develop and deliver innovative financial planning ideas that meet or exceed client expectations.
• Oversee complex tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries. 
• Work with clients to minimize their federal, state, and local tax liability.
• Supervise tax staffs’ assignments and managing the day-to-day delivery of tax consulting services to the client.
• Develop and motivate tax seniors and staff by providing them with counseling, leadership and career guidance.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years experience in public accounting with an emphasis on corporate tax and high net worth individuals
• CPA and a BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master degree preferred)
• Possess a strong desire to learn
• Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Extensive experience in researching tax issues and exposure to a variety of entities and individual tax issues
• Ability to generate and build business while leveraging a full suite of value-added tax, financial advisory, and consulting services.
