Over the years, we have provided our clients, both buyers and sellers of businesses, with consulting services. Our approach is to treat each situation as if our client was selling and we were retained to help the buyer evaluate the business. In using a buyer’s critical eye, we are better equipped to scrutinize a company’s operations and therefore approach the transaction from the buyer’s viewpoint of the strengths and weaknesses of the business.
Our approach also includes an evaluation of the infrastructure from the human resources, information technology, tax, legal, and insurance capacities. Because BPM is a full-service accounting and consulting firm, we have the expertise in-house to perform these full evaluations. A large part of the acquisition strategy is determining the correct price. Again, BPM, through its valuation services, has helped many of its clients prepare discounted cash flow evaluations to determine a fair price on a merger or acquisition.
